How are payments taken?

Payment for all orders is taken in 2 stages:

Pre-payment

To successfully schedule an order, you will be asked to add your payment details during the booking flow. Laundryheap accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards.

At this stage, your card will be charged a pre-payment of the minimum order value plus the service fee in your area. You can find the minimum order and service fee values for your area by checking our pricing and services.

Invoicing and final charge

Once your order reaches our partner facility, the team will update our systems to record what items have been sent in, this is called itemisation. Itemisation allows Laundryheap to create an invoice with the final charge.

  • Wash services: Laundry is weighed in KG, and the weight is recorded on the system.

  • All other services: Laundry is individually itemised and recorded on the system.

Before your order is returned, you will receive an email advising your invoice has been generated which you can view in your account by opening your last order. Your invoice will show the pre-payment value that has been deducted and the remaining amount that will automatically be charged using the active card on your account.

Is there a way to know how much your order will be?

The best way to estimate how much your order will cost is by using our price estimator; this can be found on our prices and services page.

  • Washing services are a fixed price per load, one mixed wash load is up to 6KG and a separate wash is up to 12KG. Anything over these weights will be charged as a second load. For example: In the UK mixed wash service we charge £16.95 per 6KG. If an order is 9KG, the charge will be £33.90.

  • All other services are priced individually.

Follow these steps to use the price estimator:

  1. Open the Laundryheap app and select 'Prices'.

  2. The price estimator will automatically show at the bottom of the screen with the minimum order value for your area.

  3. Click on the services you would like to use and press the plus button to add it to the price estimator.

  4. Once you've added all of the services you would like, click on the price estimator to view a breakdown of the estimated price.

💡 Please keep in mind that this is an estimation based on what you are selecting at the time, and the final price may vary.
